The Clerk is responsible for recording and preserving all documents
pertaining to property holdings in the County. All deeds, mortgages
and various liens are recorded and available to the general public.
All Major and minor sub-division maps are maintained by this

- Manage Elections
The Elections Office is responsible for preparing, printing and
distruting all absentee, machine and sample ballots for the Primary,
General, School Board and Special Elections in Morris County.
All results from Federal, State, and County-wide races are tablutalted
and certified by the Clerk's office. More>>
- Service and Issue Identification Documents
The Clerk's Passport office accepts applications for a US Passport
and provides many special services such as Wednesday evening
hours. Special Delviery service and a Courier service to Phiadelphia
Passport office for resident wwith emergency travel plans. Evening
hours are also available at other locations periodically during
the year. A County Photo ID card is also available as well as
a Child ID card with fingerprints for children. More>>
- Issue and Maintain Documents
All Notary Publics who reside in Morris County are sworn in and
their recors maintained in the Clerk's office. Trade Name name
certificates are issued as well as Veterans' Discharges, Attorney's
Certificates in Good Standing, Naturalization records, Physician
Diplomas, early Marriage Certificates (to 1878), Vendor's Licences
and Firemen's Exempt Certificates. More>>
- Perform Weddings
The County Clerk is authorized to perform weddings by the State

The County Clerk compiles a public manual of information on the
county and its municipalities each year. The manual is available
